TUBE MP Project Series

Tube Preamp

“Ultimately, we found that the real value of the Tube MP Project Series is that it's not only a mic preamp with solid low end, but it's also a good effect/compressor. Given the low price, we'd definitely recommend it to anyone recording a rhythm section on a budget, with the knowledge that it's plenty useful in other situations as well.” - Tape Op

How do you update a classic? The Tube MP Project Series builds on the authentic tone of the original Tube MP with extended features to capture rich, warm sound when performing or recording.

Like the original, it’s a character preamp and instrument DI with XLR and 1/4” connections, phantom power, boost, and phase reversal.

Enhancements start with increased input gain, so it’s an ideal option to pair with a low-output microphone or get more tube saturation. Switchable impedance lets you tailor the response of the preamp to your microphone for additional tonal options.

It also adds a switchable FET limiter to tame transients and prevent unwanted clipping, a high-pass filter to reduce low-frequency rumble and tighten bass, and multi-segment LED metering.

With new capabilities and a stackable desktop enclosure, the Project Series version provides everything musicians have loved about the Tube MP for thirty years - and more.
