C1

Large-Diagphragm Condenser Microphone

Find A Dealer

The C1 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern.

It has a wide frequency response for full lows and brilliant highs. The proximity effect, which increases the bass response as the mic approaches the source, is controlled and predictable, so the C1 can be used to fill out a thin vocal or capture the classic radio announcer tone for full-sounding narration.

The cardioid pickup pattern is most sensitive to sounds directly in front of the microphone. It rejects sound from the rear of the capsule and has limited sensitivity to sounds from the sides, and works well when you want to focus directly on the source and limit reflections from the recording space.

The C1 is protected by a precision-tooled body and dent-resistant stainless steel mesh windscreen, and comes with a shockmount and carrying case.

Looking for a mic with more options? The C2 adds a switchable input pad and high-pass filter, and the C3 adds two additional pickup patterns for even more versatility.
