Applied Research and Technology, a division of Yorkville Sound, announces the release of the new ART Dual Limiter, a two channel compressor using a pulse wave modulator circuit design.
The ART DUAL LIMITER features a classic design in which a PWM is employed for the gain control, providing clean quiet gain while maintaining incredible transparency. ART has been known for their tube based optical compressors for over 25 years. Developed in partnership with studio and live-sound engineers, the DUAL LIMITER offers a time tested solid state audio circuit with all of the controls that are sought by professionals.
The DUAL LIMITER has two channels of dynamic audio processing paired with a 5 segment LED array to clearly show the amount of gain reduction. It has selectable stereo linking of channel controls with XLR and ¼” inputs and outputs as well as variable attack and release controls.
The DUAL LIMITER is housed in a standard 1u space rack-mountable steel chassis, and is built with high quality components, designed for years of reliable operation in the studio, production facility, or on the road.
